Abstract This study analyzes the electrical characteristics of an Inverted-F Antenna(IFA) by using Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic(GFRP), known for its lightweight, durability, and cost-effectiveness, as the dielectric material. Specifically, the effects of varying the dielectric thickness on impedance matching optimization and minimizing signal reflection, which are key factors influencing the antenna's resonant frequency and Voltage Standing Wave Ratio(VSWR), were investigated. As the thickness of the dielectric increased from 1.0 mm to 3.0 mm, the resonance frequency was observed to vary approximately from 890 MHz to 800 MHz, while the VSWR changed from about 1.0 to 4.0.
